Our Story

The world of PELEG DESIGN revolves around three basic principles: functionality, aesthetics, and humor. It is a world motivated by continuous curiosity with the explicit purpose to transform what was once an average, been-there-done-that concept into an innovative and truly exciting experience.

PELEG DESIGN studio was founded in 2004 by Shahar Peleg, who holds a B.A. in Design and Interior Architecture from the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT).

The studio’s products are designed to be used in homes, offices and other living spaces. Beyond the product, Shahar provides the observer with a complete, all inclusive experience. Through optical illusions that stretch the limits and break conventions, he invites the viewer to take a closer look, revealing a fresh view of everyday products.

The viewer is encouraged to discover that beyond the products' functionality there is a surprising game of enchantment and humor to be seen.

PELEG DESIGN’s products are sold worldwide. They can be found in selected gift shops and in museum stores around the world. The products have been exhibited at numerous international exhibitions and have won prestigious design prizes worldwide.

Meet The Team

Shahar Peleg, Owner and CEO 

Shahar graduated from the Holon Institute of Technology. Shahar has the constant urge to look for a different perspective, to ever pursue that untouched territory, that one extra element, that WOW factor. His working methods make him achieve perfect harmony between product functionality, design and its accessibility to people. Shahar finds his inspiration in all of those hidden, forgotten, little details. He combines and folds them into a need, an idea, and finally a product. He is deeply devoted to his four daughters and his work. Not necessarily in that order...

Lilach Greenblatt, Senior Product Designer

Graduated from “Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem”. Lilach loves verything that relate with food – cooking, baking and tasting new and exciting things. Speaking of taste, Lilach owns a very unique and distinct one, when it comes to design. She truly believes that life is made to be joyful, and therefore, uses a lot of humor as a key ingredient in her work. After all - in cooking, as well as in design – good ingredients make great designs.

Keren Temkin, International Sales Manager

Keren is in charge of everything and anything involving the studio’s international appeal. She always finds just the right way to connect with the clients, no matter where in the world they are - an ability she uses at work as well as in her many travels abroad. Keren is also the studio’s go-to eco advisor, living the ‘green’ life at the studio and beyond it.

Dar Stern, Product Designer

Dar graduated from the Holon Institute of Technology. Always keen to expand her knowledge and skillset, she enjoys technical challenges and solving problems. Dar believes that good designs are those whose function is a leading value. She has many hobbies, including those where she can be active! Dar likes to keep fit, and she enjoys regular hiking expeditions and running. As someone who believes in quality flavors, another of Dar’s hobbies is eating good food!

Ori Tannhauser Kadar, Product Designer

Originally from Jerusalem, Ori is the third in his family to graduate from the “Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.” He now lives in Tel Aviv. Ori enjoys the commute to work and making use of the time! He loves cycling and enjoys the challenge of repairing bicycles, as well as venturing out on his own rides! As a designer, Ori is thrilled when a mechanical challenge presents itself and can be integrated into one of his product designs.
